Finnish Federation for Recreational Fishing (SVK)
In the “Land of a Thousand Lakes,” recreational fishing is deeply embedded in everyday life, with around one in three Finns fishing annually. Founded in 2000, the Finnish Federation for Recreational Fishing (SVK) represents approximately 1.8 million anglers through 450 clubs. SVK promotes an ecologically conscious angling culture, combining sustainable fish stock use with practical water management, including innovative wetland and “pike factory” projects that enhance spawning conditions and biodiversity.
