Angling Council of Ireland

Ireland’s rivers, lakes, and extensive coastline support a diverse and vibrant recreational angling community, spanning freshwater and sea angling traditions. The Angling Council of Ireland is the Sport Ireland-recognised National Governing Body for angling, representing multiple disciplines and providing a unified voice for anglers at national and European level. Through structured development programmes, inclusive initiatives, and active participation in EAA sub-groups, the Council supports sustainable angling, strengthens international cooperation, and ensures Irish anglers are represented in European policy and advisory processes.
