Mission & Vision

The European Anglers Alliance (EAA) is a pan-European, non-profit association giving recreational anglers a strong and united voice at EU level. Founded in 1994 and based in Brussels, EAA brings together national angling organisations from across Europe and represents more than 25 million anglers. Through advocacy and expert engagement, EAA works to shape EU policies affecting recreational angling, fish populations, and aquatic environments.

Over the years, EAA has evolved from an informal network into a proactive, expert-driven organisation with recognised expertise and an established engagement in EU advisory bodies, the European Commission, the European Parliament, and European NGO networks. Its permanent presence in Brussels has positioned EAA as a credible and influential actor, delivering tangible progress on key files such as cormorant management, the Nature Restoration Law, the EU Fishing App, and the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy.
